Active education is a company used by our school which specialises in school sports coaching. Coaches are trained to run physical education lessons, provide extracurricular and age-group team coaching, holiday clinics each holiday for 1 week as well as organising sports events and tournaments together with teachers.
They focus on ensuring that children are provided with a variety of sporting and fitness activities to encourage living a balanced healthy lifestyle.
The coaches use positive teaching methods, creativity, specialised sporting equipment and exercises to equip learners with general sporting competency: flexibility, agility and ball skills. Life skills, like persistence, courage, cooperation, decision-making, self-worth, goal setting and confidence, are built into the lessons. Coaches are specifically selected for their ability to communicate with young children.
Active education coaches are favoured for extra-curricular coaching as they are reliable, responsible and consistent. These professional and experienced coaches nurture their teams, referee games and accompany them to interschool matches.
